Toronto's 6Skates Rendezvous Surfaces on Reddit — With a Video Edit and Not Much Else

It is short, and it is a thank-you rather than a report. u/AudioBaud writes that it was "an absolute blast," thanks "the 6Skates family and all of the brands," and says it was "awesome to meet so many local fingerboarders."

Three things follow from that, and only three:

• The event is being called the 6Skates Toronto Rendezvous, 2026 edition.
• More than one brand was involved — the poster thanks them collectively, without naming any.
• The draw was local. The phrase is "so many local fingerboarders," which reads like a room built out of the Toronto scene rather than a cross-continent pilgrimage.

The post also carries an external link to YouTube, so an edit exists. Anyone wanting the actual texture of the day — the setups, the obstacles, who was there — is going to get more from the footage than from the caption.

Plenty. At the time of writing there is no publicly posted date, no venue, no attendance figure, and no list of participating brands or vendors. Nobody has published a program — whether there was a best-trick, a jam format, a game of S.K.A.T.E., a video premiere, or a straight open-session day with tables and obstacles.

The relationship between 6Skates and the Rendezvous also hasn't been spelled out in the material that's circulating. u/AudioBaud thanks the "6Skates family," which points to 6Skates as host or organizing crew, but the organizers themselves haven't put out a recap that we've seen.

That gap matters more than it sounds. Meetups are how a regional scene proves it exists, and a scene that only documents itself in one celebratory caption is a scene the rest of us can't find our way into. The Toronto fingerboard community clearly turned out for this. Right now there is no easy way for someone in Hamilton or Buffalo or Montreal to know when the next one is, or how to get on the list.

For now, the video linked from u/AudioBaud's post is the best available document of the day, and r/fingerboarding is where any follow-up — results, a brand list, a date for the next edition — is most likely to land first.

If 6Skates puts out an official recap, or if attendees start posting their own clips, this one gets a lot easier to write properly. Kingpin will update when the organizers say more.
