Angelow is in our archive as the Fast Fingers 21 (2024) world champion — a live title, won on the day, which answers the only real question you can ask of a favourite: can he close. That is the part of his record that is settled.
The part that makes him the pick for this format is how he rides when nobody is running a heat clock. The archive describes him as a Blackriver and Berlinwood team rider known for a raw, street-style self-filming approach. An online edition rewards exactly that: a rider who already thinks in clips, who already knows what his spots look like through a lens, who does not need a contest park to produce a part. Most of the field has to adapt to the format. Angelow effectively lives in it.
He also has the hardware history that tends to follow a rider the industry is building around: a signature Berlinwood Angelow Pro Model deck and the RAWmon, Blackriver's first-ever signature truck. Our history of Blackriver covers the company that founded the contest in the first place, and he rides for it. He is also cited in the archive as riding for ASI Berlin, the Berlin shop and team that has been in the middle of this scene since 2003.
One caveat I am not going to paper over: Angelow counts two world titles, and a community history retrospective credits him with the first online edition, in 2022. That is community and trophy-plaque evidence, not an official results page. FF21 is the title I am arguing from. If the 2022 credit is right, it only strengthens the pick — he would already have won in this exact format once.
