"Are there any fingerboard events near me?" is one of the questions that comes back around forever, and it almost never gets a satisfying answer.
A video posted on September 14 by the channel cdplaya, Why You Can't Find Fingerboard Events (And How to Fix It), takes the problem head on: it shows footage from a recent meetup to demonstrate what these gatherings actually look like, then talks through the barriers people hit when they try to find one locally. It had 1,714 views and no comments at the time of writing.
Short answer
Meetups mostly aren't indexed anywhere a search engine can reach them. They get announced by a person to the people that person already talks to. So you don't find events — you find riders, and the events come with them. That reframing is the whole trick, and everything below is just method.
One thing up front: the video sets out the problem and shows what a session looks like, it doesn't publish a directory. I'm not going to invent one either. A list of gatherings I can't verify would send someone across a city to an address where nothing is happening.
