The decision in front of you is narrow and slightly ridiculous: you have 37.95 and a set of trucks, and the question is whether you spend it on a wheel whose entire pitch is that it isn't round.
Maple Wheels — the Quebec urethane brand going since 2018 — has made a fingerboard version of the Shark Wheel, the full-size wheel design credited on the listing to David Patrick in California. The Optic Black colorway sold out, and according to the Skull Fingerboards product feed it went back up on 11 October after being out of stock the day before. At the time of writing it shows as available in the one variant, Default Title. Stock on a restocked novelty shape is not a thing I'd treat as permanent.
Maple Wheels says on the listing that this is the first time the design has been brought to the fingerboard community. That's the brand's claim, not a verified history, and I'll leave it sitting where the brand put it.
