Most people who press their own fingerboard decks count their output in ones and twos: a deck for the current setup, a spare, maybe one for a friend who asked nicely. Forty-five is a different kind of number. It means a stack of veneer, a mold that gets used again and again, and a finish that has to come out the same on the last board as on the first.
That is the number in a post in r/Fingerboards by u/gagestillalive, published on October 22, 2026, under a title that does most of the storytelling on its own: "45 real wear boards for my wedding."
The text underneath is short. The poster writes that they have been making boards for themselves for about a year, that this has "by far been my biggest project," and that it was their first time using real wear from Bruh MFG. It went, in their words, "super smooth." The mold was the Viper from Weapon LLC, and the shape is a 32x98 popsicle.
That is the whole written record so far. What follows is what it does and does not tell us.
