French Fingers 2026: a Discord contest scene opens its doors for November

The announcement lays out a two-track format:

• Jury judging. Every entry is judged by a jury.
• Random draw. Three additional participants are picked at random from all valid entries to win prizes.

That second track matters. Online contests tend to reward the riders with the cleanest park, the best lighting and the tightest edit. A random draw from valid entries means a rider filming on a single ledge on the kitchen table still has a shot at something, as long as the clip meets the rules.

The post says the event has a list of sponsors behind it. At the time of writing, the Reddit announcement itself does not name them, describe the prizes, or explain who sits on the jury.

The organizers point everyone to one place for the full details: the French Fingers 2026 contest page on Fingerboard.io. That is where to check the rules, submission format and deadlines before you start filming. The Reddit post does not give exact opening and closing times or a time zone, so read the page closely rather than banking on "throughout November" to mean midnight on the 30th wherever you live.

The post also asks riders to follow Fingerboard France on Instagram for updates, and invites questions in the r/Fingerboards announcement thread.

The contest runs through November. The organizers say winning clips will be posted in r/Fingerboards once judging is done, so even if you sit this one out, the results will land where most of the scene already scrolls. A community that has run a contest every month for two years now has an international audience to answer to.
