On October 4, 2026, a post in r/Fingerboards by u/Sufficient-Yak5181 put up a photo of a group of decks with a line of text under it: these are decks the poster made for their first ever fingerboard drop. The post points readers to a Big Cartel storefront under the name Blade MFG.
That is the whole of the record so far, and it is worth saying plainly. The post does not give widths, mold or concave, ply count, press, or whether the shapes come from one mold or several. It does not say which graphics belong to this first batch, how many of each were made, what they cost, or whether the store is open now or opening on a date. The maker has not said where they are based or what name they want on the brand. All of that is the kind of thing a first drop usually sorts out within a day or two in the comments, and none of it should be guessed at in the meantime.
What the photo does show is a batch rather than a one-off — several decks finished together, which is the normal shape of a first release from a one-person operation: press a run, photograph it, post it, see who bites.
