A 40 mm truck is not a tuning change, it is a different size class of hardware. Maple Lab flipped the Industry FB 40mm Trucks from coming soon to on sale on October 1, listed at 34 on its UK storefront.
The pitch is narrow and specific: these are for extra-wide decks, and the listing name-checks Eggzilla setups as the thing they are meant to sit under. Everything else on the spec sheet follows from that width.
- 40 mm width, sold as a match for extra-wide fingerboard decks
- Handmade in Ukraine, described as the result of over a year of development
- A newly developed heavy alloy in place of standard aluminum
- Redesigned hanger with a larger bushing seat, which Industry FB frames as a durability change
- Lowered bushings and kingpin, aimed at cutting hang-ups
- New pivot cup geometry, a refined hanger angle, and updated bushings
- A baseplate that takes a traditional kingpin with locknuts or converts to a reverse kingpin setup
The listing does not say what the alloy actually is, only that it reads heavier and feels more stable than standard aluminum. Weight in grams, bushing durometer, pivot cup material and colorways are not published at the time of writing.
