Deli Decks' Type 2 trucks arrive in a blasted finish with two numbers separating them from the Originals. Here's what those numbers do to a setup, and what the listing still doesn't say.

If you already ride Deli Trux, the only question worth asking about the Type 2 is whether it's a different truck or the same truck with a new surface. The listing on Index Fingerboarding answers with two numbers: Type 2 is 0.7mm taller than the Original Trux, with a 0.6mm shorter wheelbase.
On a part that sits under a 32–34mm deck, 0.7mm is not a rounding error. Whether it's worth $45 and a rebuild depends on what you're already running.

And what the page does not state: hanger width in millimeters, hanger material, bushing durometer, total weight, or hole spacing. "Blasted" is the model name and the page doesn't describe the finishing process behind it beyond a note that the product requires hand-finished steps, "which may result in minor cosmetic variations." Take that as written: two sets may not look identical.

Ride height on a fingerboard truck decides three things you notice immediately: how much wheel you can fit before it rubs, how far the deck sits above a ledge edge when the trucks are locked on it, and how far the board leans before the wheel bites.
Mechanically, a taller hanger also gives the bushing more leverage to work against for the same amount of lean, which usually reads as a slightly quicker, looser response at the same kingpin tension. That's geometry, not a claim from the brand — Deli hasn't published turn figures, and nothing in the listing describes handling.
The practical read: if you've been running a wheel that just clears on Originals, Type 2 buys you a little room. If your trucks are already tuned exactly where you want them, expect to go back in on the kingpin after the swap.

0.6mm shorter wheelbase is the spec that needs an asterisk. The page doesn't say whether that's measured per truck — axle position relative to the baseplate — or axle-to-axle across a mounted pair. Those are different changes to a setup.
If it's axle-to-axle on the same deck, the wheels sit marginally further inboard, which lengthens the effective nose and tail a hair against the contact points. More leverage on pop, a touch twitchier through the middle of a flip. Nobody is going to feel 0.6mm as a revelation, but combined with the extra height both changes push in the same direction: slightly more lively, slightly less planted.
Deck compatibility is the other thing the page leaves alone. There's no stated hole pattern or note about which decks these drop into, so if you're mounting to a pre-drilled deck from another brand, that's a question for the shop before you buy, not after.
In the box
That's a complete truck set plus the tool, which matters when you're comparing against trucks sold as hangers-and-baseplates-only. The page is firm about the hardware: "For optimal performance, use with provided hardware." Six locknuts for four axle ends and two kingpins reads like a spare in the bag, though the listing doesn't break down which is which.

Nothing we can stand behind yet. The listing went up on 10 October 2026 and the only material in hand is the product page itself — no threads, no Discord posts, no shop notes. Anyone telling you how Type 2 grinds right now is guessing.

If you're on Originals and your setup is dialed, 1.3mm of total change spread across two axes is not a reason to spend $45 again. Nothing in the listing suggests Type 2 is a replacement rather than an alternative geometry — Deli hasn't said the Originals are going anywhere.
If you're building new, or you've been fighting wheel clearance, or you want a slightly more responsive feel without changing brand, Type 2 is the better of the two to start on. Buy it with a bushing set in the same order and accept that the finish question stays open until people have had these on tables for a few weeks.
